Carbon Fiber Tube vs. Solid Rod

LHS has 3mm solid rod or 5mm tube. I am looking at flattening/strengthening my Super Cub wing with carbon fiber.
Which of the 2 would be better for this application?

Re: Carbon Fiber Tube vs. Solid Rod
It is sometimes easier to use a piece of CF strip.
Just cut a slot with an exacto knife in the bottom of each wing.( same depth as the CF strip )
Insert a piece of CF strip ( 1mm x 5mm ) into the slot with a small amount of glue.
Carpenters glue of Eurethane glue will work. We also usually put some packing tape on the leading edge and tips.
People learning to fly often make misteaks .. The packing tape will add a lot of strength to the leading edge and wing tips.
