Hi New22,

The story of the LST is here:

Dihedral needed for rudder/elevator should be there. 1.25in might not be enough.

To tone down your medallion you can also add extra glowplug washers to reduce compression.

Don't forget to fuelproof the fuselage well ! ! !

Good luck with the project.

Take care,
Have fun,

Re: LST Trainer

Ok. Back from the dungeon. Just put a layer of cloth around the wing. I really felt it is necessary due to the small wing joiners I used. But complete fuselage w/push-rods, motor and mount, wing (after adding cloth), ailerons (not yet attached) is in at 8.5 oz. Will use an AR500, 2 TG9 servos, and gotta figure out a battery pack yet. Plus covering. What do you feel max weight that a Medalion can safely haul around? I am going to shoot for 24 ounces. Do you feel that is too much? Any help or info is greatly appreciated.

Re: LST Trainer

Just another little update. Got the wing covered today. Now I am at 9.5 oz, so only 1 oz of covering on the wing. Fuse will be painted or doped, so will have to wait till spring now. I will probably work on fuelproofing the front area tomorrow. I am not that good at covering, but it looks alright. Will try to get pics tomorrow.
