You wouldn't believe what I needed this for, so let's just say it's for catching those guys who shuffle through all the stuff in your shop and happen to have sticky fingers.

You know how it goes - can't find what you're looking for ever since so-and-so was over for a visit.

Well, one of these Bad Boys hidden in your parts box will put a quick stop to that.

Re: Catch the Big Ones!!

I think that you were watching CNN the other day.

Under the heading of 'Weird News'

A cop in Texas was charged with theft, he was video taped stealing food from the frig in the break room.

Hmmm a cop is stealing food from cops... with guns... in a state that is known to shoot first and ask questions later... not smart.

His case is before the courts and he has been suspended without pay for thirty days.

Now he gets to go back to work, ... with the same people that he stole from... hmmmm
Life is either a daring adventure...
...or nothing.

Re: Catch the Big Ones!!

When I was stationed in Camp Petawawa, we had this NCO from another area who used to come in and kibitz in the shop where us techs were maintaining radios. It didn't matter what you were doing or using he had to pick it up and play with it. Put down a screwdriver, then reach for it again he had it, tossing it up and catching it. Remove a vacuum tube to get at something behind, go to replace it and he was playing with it.

He was so thick skinned, you could not insult him, and we could not get rid of him. We started charging a bunch of capacitors up to 600 volts and leaving them lay around on the bench, and yup; he had to pick one up and play "catch" with it. 600 volts across the palm of your hand dumping at beaucoup amps for an instant: well that gets your attention!

Got his anyway, and since he could not tell a capacitor from an ashtray he started to get the message.

He was also the guy we got by soldering a couple of pennies to copper nails driven into the top of the bench and connected to a charged cap. when he tried to scoop them up, first they did not move and second he got a healthy "lift".

He was such a royal PITA!

Isn't it a shame what honest folks are forced to do. We also have one of these kind of animals around our part of the country.
