Bashing at the BMX park

Cambridge, Ontario is planning a new BMX park so when I put my input in about the design, I put in a suggestion that they consider setting aside some hours for electric RC vehicle bashing. I don't believe they would consider nitro/gas as it would create issues with their trail bylaws. Has anyone else tried something like this with their city and was it accepted? I figured at least the RCing could be done by all ages whereas the BMX riding was probably a 12-35 year old demographic.
Anyone wishing to put in their input (and/or help with suggesting the RC time), please use this link: http://www.cambridge.ca/community_services/bike_park
Current models: Hobbico Nexstar Electric, Parkzone Spitfire Mk IX , several micros/small helis. Nothing nitro/gas.
