Lubrication and the difference I found

I have a HK500 which I love in all ways. I had a torque tube but removed it to modify it and replaced it with a belt drive tail. Flew the first battery with no issues so before flying the second pack I spray lubed the belt with silicon spray. What I found upon charging was, the first pack needed a 3300mha charge to top up but the second only took 2700 to fully charge. I also noticed on the second pack that there was less noise and it just seemed smoother all around. I found all this surprising from only lubing the belt.

Re: Lubrication and the difference I found

I have always sprayed my tail belt with silicon, not really because of the Heli, just been around equipment that we sprayed the belts each week with Silicon. Just kind of figured there was not to much difference between the heli belts and there very much larger cousins.

Thanks now you give me a reason for doing it, less power more hover time.
