Well, I have gone and done it. Let myself get talked into buying one of these. It will eventually make its way into a Topflight 60 size Corsair.

Seems to be a few ppl, haveing problems with HK, and this engine,as well as wondering about or haveing troubles with shipping. So I thought I would write a small review on my experiences with it.

For now, I'll write about the engine itself, and what I know about it so far, as I am not too sure when I will actually run this engine, but hopefully in the not too distant future.

I have also seen a couple of fourms where ppl were looking for the dimentions of the engine. And I'll do my best to include those as well.

So, here goes.

My order was packaged and shipped on Feb 27/12 @17:31
Left origin enroute on Feb 29/12 @07:39
Recived Vancouver customs Mar 02/12 @01:37
Released by customs Mar02/12@14:31
Recived postal facility Richmond Mar 02/12@14:35
Arrived my mail box Mar05/12
The box arrived unmolested, no extra taxes or duties and in good shape.

The box was well packed, and everything was inside, as advertised, and undamaged.

I was rather surprised at the relativly small size and light weight of the engine.I think advertised weight is around 1000 grams, minus battery Thats a lil over 2 pounds or 35.2 ounces.

Over all length-6 1/2 inches

overall width-3 inches
head-2 3/8 square

center line of crank
to top of head- 3 3/4 inches

center line of crank to top
of cap-5 inches

Crankcase is 2 3/16 wide

Head w/muffler-4 inches wide

over all height w/muff- 7 1/2 inches

Back of engine to prop hub-5 1/2 inches

Every thing needed to mount and run this engine is included , with the exception of fuel tank, lines and battery.

The engine came complete with a wire shield,a battery wire, 2 wire locks, engine mount ( nylon) mounting bolts, muffler, muffler bolts, gasket, an extra throttle arm ( longer) and spark plug, ignition box, and manuals. ( I think that was everything)

While everything isn't polished up and shiney like most other engines, its no worse than the engine is in your new home depot weed trimmer.

Compared to other engines, its compareable in size. The pics included are a Gms .61 on the left and a Gms 1.20 on the right. While closer in size to the 1.20, it isn;t alot bigger than the .60 either.

So thats it for now. Hope to run this engine soon, perferably on the finished plane. My intent is to run this engine on "opti 2" 2 stroke oil as well, and do a test/review on the oil.

Opti 2 is a non synthetic engineered oil and burns extreemly clean, and haveing usd it in my boats,, snowmobiles and garden equipment, I am curious as to how well it will work on a model plane.

Enjoy the pics and if you have any questions, just ask.

Re: Hobby King rcgf 20cc

Be sure to let us know how it works out. If you have any trouble with initial starts, factory state of tune and useability in the Corsair.

I've been considering this option for my TF 60 P51 Mustang too.
