First fuselage panel is on. Waiting for glue to dry, before I take pics.

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Some shots of the first panel in place. The panel on the real Hurricane was wood and plywood as well, and there was one on each side of the cockpit, that could be kicked out in order to aid in emergency egress. Hope to have all the formers done by end of this weekend, and some more panels installed. If I get a helper or two, I'll get them to work finishing the last of the work on the rudder, and framing up the seat.

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Another panel in place, checking the fit. All panels are cut scale, to make the aircraft look as accurate as possible.

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

You are most welcome to come sit in it at least! Last 3 photos show the fuselage top formers, from the fuel tank aft all cut and installed. Also some detail of the side panel.

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

All the giant scale planes in your shop look dwarfed by your gigantic project.
Really amazing job, checking this thread twice a day just to look at your updates.
Keep them coming please!

Thanks. I'll get some more pics up soon, especially now that I've done a pile of cleaning, shop was getting a wee bit messy!

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Worked a bit on the Port side of the fuselage, should have it matching the Starboard side tomorrow. Also getting ready to do the nose section from the cockpit, to the firewall.

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Busy day, another bulkhead installed, and all five canopy frames cut and sanded. The one frame covered in clamps is part of the windshield. Other four have been notched for the horizontal braces, and I should have a canopy tomorrow.
