Remove screws, cut, fit, etc, till everything fits right. In between, had to do some sanding on the bulkheads, to get a nice flush fit all along. What would take 1/2 hr on the 1/5th scale kit, takes 1/2 a day or more in full size!
....ah.... Thats better

I hate to be a slave driver but I really do love the pictures

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Sadly, another 12 hr day at work. I'm blaming it on the Russians, wandering into the Ukraine. Us Sea King folk are ready. If there's any subs to hunt over there, we're in. Hopefully a day or two, I'll have the top of the cowl done, and get a good start on the bottom.

Let em know you have too many projects on the go to fight a war.

What will the rest of us building vicariously through you do with our time if you get too busy to work on your 37 or so projects?

.. we will not stand for it. Rest assured, I'll be texting Putin a "mad face".

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Hmm, that's the solution, a Russia vs Ukraine RC 1/12 scale combat tournament! Why can't they resolve their silly disputes like grown kids with RC airplanes??

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Sigh, true. Too bad, when the wall fell, and we were finally allowed to visit Czechoslovakia, myself and some RC buddies were at the border about an hour after the permission came through. Border guards thought we were nuts, but probably not invading in a single SUV. We ran smack into a Russian troop convoy heading home, and partied with them all the way to Pilsen. What a great bunch.

Working on installing panel #3! It too, knock on plywood, looks like it will co-operate.

Re: Really Giant Scale Hurricane

Had to get some action shots, some military magazine wants to do a short article on the build. Be nice if the word gets out, maybe I can wangle a job building replica warbirds for museums. Mosquito and Beaufighter would really be nice, hint, hint!!
