Don't dispute you, Bob, but I couldn't find anything about it being a Mustang 2, and the only video coverage (Global BC) showed a burnt-out aircraft so that all you could see was the basic straight wing and tail shapes.

Can you post the link that you found?

Certainly. Here you go.

The above link shows a picture of the actual aircraft and 2 newspaper articles. It would be nice if the guys writing the articles would do a little research.

Although the newspaper articles claim it to be a replica aircraft, as I previously posted, the Mustang 2 is not a replica aircraft and now seeing the picture of the actual airplane in question it's pretty obvious.

Re: "Model Airplane" crashes at Airport

This discussion validates something I have said for years.

Whenever I hear or read a news story about an event or happening of which I have personal knowledge, I find there are fundamental flaws in the reportage; to the point where the story is misleading or often totally in error.

That being said, if I cannot believe the reportage of the stories I personally know about, why should I ever believe ones I do not have knowledge of?

Re: "Model Airplane" crashes at Airport

Have to agree with your comments about "the Fith Estate" (i.e., the press) as I saw them in action on an accident that I'd witnessed. Considering that the accident took place all around my car, I think that I have a good understanding of what played out that morning. Took about two days before someone from the press bothered to read the police bulletin which had the correct sequence......

My car is the Volvo wagon.
