Do you find seeing the props in view distracting at all? I supose you could use some CF plating or soemthing to extend the cameras out some out of view yes? Very cool no snow there to wow!

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

We have been pretty lucky so far, hope I didn't jinx it. That was with 9" carbon/nylon Gem fans. I now use 8" and I think the Gopro may be mounted slightly more forward but, anyway, no props in view and even though it is hard mounted to the front next to no jello. Here is a recent vid from indoors when no one was flying their foamies.

It weighs all in with the Naza, GPS, Gopro, Sunnysky 2212-980's, FPV gear and 3700 Zippy battery at 1384 grams.

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

Finished this little guy today.

It's an enlarged version on henni's little quad. Same power system as my fan fold foam quad.

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

Here is my quad. It's a GoodLuckBuy MWC quad with GPS. The kit was $180 including shipping. There was no documentation, just a box full of bits (even though it says fully assembled). I spent a lot of time researching everything to get it going but it's been a nice quad for the money. I also added a cheap camera gimbal and lights from HobbyKing. Of and also a bluetooth module so I can do all my config changes from my tablet. The quad itself has probably cost around $250 to build with the extra goodies I added to it. I knew it would be a lot of work but I used it as a learning platform and it's been great for that.

With the camera gimbal off I can really scream around the sky. Slap the camera gimbal on and it's a nice stable platform for aerial video.

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

Nice idea for the "bubble"! Looks clean, and gives easy access.

1st approach in utilizing mQX' built-in LED blinker.

Just added 150 Ohm resistor and LED.

Re: Multirotor Pictures and Videos

Tried custom canopy.
Very long time passed since I was gluing paper stuff so it isn't perfect yet but I definitely like the idea.

Going to print it on a laser jet transparency.

i thought about doing that too
did you just solder it the 150R and the LED directly to parallel with the SMD LED?
