Angry Fake AR6200 receivers?

Remove this ad - become a site supporter!
I just came across few web sites where RC pilots are thinking AR6200 receivers being sold might be counterfeit.

Do you guys have any experience or info about fake AR6200?

I do have one receiver that looks exactly like the fake ones.

Re: Fake AR6200 receivers?

There are quite a few direct clones out there trying to pass off as real spektrum products. It's pretty easy to tell by the price whether it's real or not. The issue comes in the used market really, some guy buys a clone (thinks it was a great deal) thinking it's real then sells it for the going used price of a real spektrum receiver and pats himself on the back thinking he's a great business guy.

Some unscrupuless individuals actually buy the clones then sell them on the used market at a $10-$20 markup. Usually only on the larger forums sites, ebay or kijiji though. Buyer beware.

I might be willing to use one of these in a smaller heli, under $300 heli but not in anything larger / more expensive.
