Futaba 7c 72Mhz Transmitter and R149DP Receiver, 200m Ground range?

For those of you who use this transmitter and/or receiver, does a 200m ground range through a few single story houses seem acceptable or far too short?
Here is a picture of how i have the receiver cable ran.
The cable runs down to the landing gear, then back up through a 18" 'straw'. As you can see there is some slack on the top still.
With this setup, I'm able to power on the hexacopter in the back yard at 0% Throttle. Walking out around 190m-200m through houses, my fail safe will start to trigger (The props will start to spool up slowly).
Is this normal ground range for this kind of setup or should i be seeing more range?
I plan to do a test on a flat open road once the weather clears up; it's been rainy the last few days here in Edmonton.
