Hey everyone, im just starting to get into the RC world i picked up a nice car in a package that was used at a store in North Carolina, im dont remember what model or type the engine was but will post pictures and maybe someone can help me out.

Im looking forward to getting another car shortly and cant decide if i should pick up a HPI racing one or a Traxxas Model. any help on the subject would be great! Im looking for something i can race on dirt and doesnt matter what style but i like the nittro setups!

thanks again and looking forward to talking to you all!

Re: New and looking to jump in deep!

When you say race, do you mean organized racing at a track or just racing with some friends? If at a track, find out what classes race, honestly besides the SC class, traxxas and hpi don't really produce racing vehicles. They make great bashing vehicles though. For track nitro racing maybe consider Losi or Associated.
Helicopters: Walkera(10?), Esky(3), Blade(5), Align(7), Miniature Aircraft(2), Hirobo(2), Mikado(2), Century(3), Thunder Tiger(4), Gaui (5).
Trucks/Cars: Tamiya(8 ), Traxxas(6), HPI(1), Losi(2), Ofna(2), Thunder Tiger(2), Hot Bodies(1), Axial (1).
Boats: 4
Snowcat: 1 Kyosho Blizzard (electric)
Snowmobiles: 2 x Polaris (toy grade), art attack electric

Welcome to the site. I'm an electric guy so I can't provide any nitro advice. Just buy from one of the big guys and you'll never have to worry about parts supply.
Current models: Hobbico Nexstar Electric, Parkzone Spitfire Mk IX , several micros/small helis. Nothing nitro/gas.
