I have been looking for a decent servo tester for awhile now and recently picked up a Vexacontrol ServoXciter Jr. It's elegantly simple, compact, and accurate.
Description from Vexacontrol:
Operation is quite simple:
1) Plug an RX pack into the battery port
2) Plug the servos into the any of the 2 servo ports
In manual mode, there are 2 direction (left/right) buttons to control servo movement. Pressing both buttons simultaneously centers the servo. Simple status LED's clearly indicate the end point, center, and overdrive positions.
Press the mode button and it toggles from manual to sweep mode. The sweep speed is controlled via the left/right buttons.
And if you have a radio with non-standard pulse widths, you can also calibrate the ServoXciter to perfectly match the center and end points.
I have been using the ServoXciter Jr for a few weeks now. It's simple and easy to use interface is welcome. It's proven invaluable when setting up models and testing servos. No longer do I need to drag out the radio and RX.
Here is a tip for you: The mfg recommends velcroing the ServoXciter to an RX pack to make a complete portable unit. Very good idea!
You can buy the ServoXciter directly from Vexacontrol:
They ship to Canada via USPS/Canada Post. Shipping costs are only $6 US. I received mine within 10 business days.
Although the web site advertises the price at $29.95, When you add it to the cart, it comes up at $24.95 + $6 shipping for a total $30.95 US.
