I guess more useless info on the DA theread that I can delete later LOL

Hold on what would you want with a EME anyway, like you would be caught dead with a "chint" engine in your plane.
Wow... a 24x9 at 6600... that's strong!!

I loved my DLE55 - one of the sweetest motors I've ever owned - absolutely nothing wrong with Chint... I just love the name "Chint", LOL!!

I see an EME60 in the future

Very light too if you had not noticed it weighs the same as a stripped DA with it's muffler and ignition installed.these things are also supposed to make the DLE sound like a rattle box . no offence to DLE I have a couple and love them but they do rattle a bit, It has ever hurt the way they run but the EME is supposed to be very tight and smooth. the piston ring lands are very tight on the ring and it has a nice cross hatch on the hard chrome sleeve, nice cleen ports , machined prop hub ,walbro carb with long arms installed, the finnish looks pressure cast with zero core shift, and it has proper machine screws not those soft rolled chorme things, I will knife edge the reed block and bevel the intake port where it enters the block that alone should pull the power up a bit. . We will see on the weekend how well it runs . cheers Roger

OMG.... My DA60 sounds like a bag full of metal rods when I am coming down in a harrier LOL

The EME 60 definitely has me intrigued.

Re: DA-60 Testing ( Taming the Monster )

I'm going to watch Roger test the engine on my test stand. He's only 20 minutes from my house and in the winter it's just good to talk to someone about planes face to face.

It held up for my ZDZ 210 but I'm now getting a bit worried that his EME might just pull the stand apart! I should have used lag Bolts to hold the main firewall on, but I was concerned that the added weight would be too much. LOL

We all know how great Trevor has been in educating us about weight savings!

Yeah we all know how that story can go . I was intrigued with the Mintor and look what happened to them puking rods out all over ,thankfully I waited on that one . Has anyone heard if they have the problem fixed I still would love to get one . I guess it was my turn(seeing as you guys saved me buying the bag of hammers LOL) to make a leap of faith so I did my research and the EME is my pick ,hope it's a winner.

Brian I doubt I could brake that engine stand if I ran it over with my minivan LOL I may just use it to run up my new fuel injected corvette engine . Roger

Trevor does know how to watch his weight ,3W must leave him so conflicted LOL

Re: DA-60 Testing ( Taming the Monster )

LOL!! Nothing beats a lightened test stand!!

Yep.. The extra pork of the 3W does make me shiver!!!... But still the 55 is the smoothest, quietest, least rattly. Maybe the EME and GP will change that view!!...can't wait for the test report!!!

I ordered the 75 degree. But the one I got was 90.
There was no damage. The stinger came straight out of the back of the pipe. The curve in the stinger was clean with no marks or kinks.
