There is a common theme in all of this advice:

Join a MAAC club. They have instructors who will teach you to fly.

It will be far more enjoyable than fixing crashed planes all the time.

Going it on your own will be both expensive and frustrating. Trust me, I tried the self taught route and learned the hard way!

Re: 1st RC Plane schematic drawing please

Good evening all.

All real good comments and in no rush to learn just getting as much info as possible for now.
Club route is for sure the right path and will be spending some time soon in the Arnprior area to see and learn more.

The only thing I purchase thus far is the DX8 - 2 AR8000 and 1 TM 1000 got it all for more then half price was only used 4 times. All the reading of good comments / suggestions from this site is a huge help and looking forward to get my 1st plane and meeting knowledgable club members.

The main reason I got interested in RC was a Costco Black Cat elcheapo heli was up and navigating it on the 1st try unfortunatly after about 5 minutes of flight it took off full elevation without me touching the elevation and the way it went...MIA since Once again thank you all and I will be visiting clubs and those suggested hobby stores.
