Thanks Jerry, it's fun doing FPV and making videos but when you can use your multi to find a downed plane, it's much more rewarding. I'll be glad to help anyone in the future.
Redmist, I picked up my MK gear at NGHobbies. http://www.nghobbies.com/cart/index....ath=59_119_120
I won't mention frames, motors or props as there are too many out there and you can decide on that yourself. As for the main electronics, the MK FC will set you back $500. They have a new all in one nav board, $280. The GPS is $112. You will need the I2C esc's, V1 at $50 each, V2 esc's at $75 each(can handle more amps). That is the main stack of MK electronics. The MK has lots of cool features like waypoints, POI, RTH, PH, RTH land on loss of signal, follow me, carefree mode. Their are other FC's out there that will do all this and a bit cheaper but I'm not totally sure what they are. I only follow what gear I have.
