Flight Controller Questions

I'm new to multis but very excited to get rolling with one of these beasts. I've been debating investing good money and getting an ARF with the Naza + GPS on it compared to buying frame and constructing.

My biggest fear is the FC. I'm a Mac user that doesn't run or have parallels. I do have my wifes older PC laptop kicking around at home but it was replaced with a Mac 2 years ago for a reason. I could dust that beast off and see if the programming would work from there.

Anyway, what do the Mac users do for flashing their boards? Or is there a Mac FC available?

Also, as I am hoping to get into larger set-ups eventually, should I just invest in the Naza now or should I do a really budget build, get something in the air for the time being and move to Naza/WKM when I get to the larger project? THe downside to this is that I would like to run at least a 2 axis camera mount even on the smaller, first build. The GPS, autohold, rth are nice, but I consider luxury for the time being. Mostly I want good smooth flight with the option of 2 or 3 axis camera stability.

What board should I be looking to?

Re: Flight Controller Questions

Best I can tell, trying to do this with a Mac will run you into a lot of problems. Most of the programming software for multirotor controllers require Windows.

Re: Flight Controller Questions

DJI is Windows only, however some FC support various OS, the Multiwii for example runs as a Java app so works on msot platforms.
