I just bought a cheap (LiteHawk Charger) electric boat for me and my kid to have fun with.....and we had fun. Now daddy wants his own boat, lol. I'm new to RC boats, but I kinda enjoyed launching this this off small waves. I'm looking on websites to find what to buy next, but there are countless boats....does someone mind giving me some guidance? I have large lakes to play on...I was thinking electric, as excessive noise is not wanted in some parks and beaches. I don't mind spending a couple hundred for a ready-to-go unit to start with.....unless they really aren't worth the time...that's the thing, I need some input

A traxxas blast or aquacraft rio, would be a decent launch into the hobby grade boats. The are both v hulls, so they handle small waves pretty good.
My first boat was the rio, fun little boat!
You don't want a nitro boat to start off with, as they can be very frustrating to someone starting out!
