Re: New radio suggestions

I have the Tactic radio system in my Slash and I like it. It has good range, has never glitched and is really light. Seems to be durable as well - it slipped off my drivers stand and fell about 4 feet onto the rocks and didn't even crack. I think they are about $70.

I also have a Futaba 3PL that works nicely in my SC8. Great range, a little heavier and has a few more tuning options. A little more expensive though - around $130.

I have a Spektrum DX2S in an EMaxx, but don't care for it. It is significantly heavier, uses 8 AAs instead of 4 in the other systems, is slightly more $$, and has very little range. At around 200 feet it loses signal and I have to walk within about 20 feet to get it back. The Tactic can get around 400 feet and I lose sight of the SC8 when using the Futaba - I have to estimate the location from the dust cloud.

Re: New radio suggestions

I have the FlySky FS-GT3B and it cost me $35 and the receivers are only $7. The range is over 500 meters with out any problems. I actually have two of them.

It runs on 8 batteries, but you can modify it to use a 3s lipo.

It can store up to 10 different car settings.
