Re: aerofly

I've got aerofly 5.7 and it works great, but need a damn big video card. I installed it in a laptop and it don't take long for it to over heat( Dell XPS) The graphic card needs to be big as well. I havn't used real flight or phoenix though so don't now how they would compare. I'm happy with aerofly though good graphics, good selection of planes and secenry.

Re: aerofly

I have tried all three - not excessively, but some - and my opinion is that RealFlight is nice because you can create your own models based on others and download public domain planes.

Phoenix I like because of the internet link where you can fly with other people that you know OR strangers around the world. Can get crazy at times, but it is fun.

Aerofly, I've used a few times and like it because (I think) it may be free/cheaper. And it is certainly good enough to learn things on. I admit only limited experience with Aerofly though.

The best simulator I've found is the real thing ..... but that's expensive! LOL

Good luck on your search.

Re: aerofly

I just got Aerofly for my 2011 iMac. It is a fun simulator and works well.

It is however a graphics hog. I have to turn off all other programs and set the graphics at half for it to run smoothly. It looks great at medium graphics but you would need a very powerful computer to run the graphics at their full setting.

Overall I am happy with it.
