This came with my SuperCub. Worked great for a long time. Now not so much. Red LED light flashes three times and then nothing. This was the same for both my batteries. Took it to the store. They tested my batteries and told me one had gone bad. Other one plugged in and appeared to charge correctly. Used up battery, plugged it in again and...three red flashes and nothing. Have tried it in different plugs, after long delays, etc.
What do the three red flashes mean? Store doesn't seem to know. Is it an indication that this battery too has expired? Or is there something wrong with the charger?

Firstly, are you flying your plane right down to the LVC when the motor starts pulsing? Not really the best thing for your batteries. You should time the flights and bring it in before the battery hits the LVC.

There isn't much in the way of manuals for those chargers. The few bits of information I've managed to find online seem to indicate that the flashes indicate an undervoltage condition. Another possibility is damaged balance connector and or wiring. It's pretty common for the leads to break at the solder joints inside hte pack. Since these 2-3 cell chargers require the balance connector to be working correctly, a damaged balance connector/wiring will cause the blinking.

Finally, the Parkzone/Hobbyzone chargers aren't known for being the most reliable. I would highly recommend you toss it and buy a decent charger like a Revolectrix, iCharger or Hyperion.

Re: HobbyZone LiPo charger

You can also get a great Hobbyking charger for well under 50$ The Accucell 6 is 22$ and works very well. You do not have to buy big brand name expensive stuff at the LHS any longer.
