Guys, in running new engines, once the break-in period is over, is it more or less common practise to lean out the top end as time goes by, or should a tach be used to achieve the reccomended RPM??? Please help out, also I was using a mixture of 32-1 with Amsoil but I now hear that is it too much oil?? Your imput will be appreciated. Frank.

It's common to tune them right off the bat and not run them rich. Tune the high end for the rich side of peak. You run a higher oil ratio (32 to 1) for break in. Amsoil gave me too much carbon so i switched to Stihl ultra, cleaned everything right up.
