Re: Where are the scale (F4C) contests in Ontario?

Only 1 lately has been the Kawartha Lakes Scale Competition near Lindsay. Unfortunately, scale comps are loosing their popularity for other facets of the hobby. Hopefully, it'll make a resurgance.

Re: Where are the scale (F4C) contests in Ontario?

F4C in Ontario, and even in Canada has disappeared, along with Scale contests especially in eastern Canada. Having had the honour of representing Canada three times at the world champions it is a shame we no longer support a team. The main reason why we do not have a team is money. 30 years ago, MAAC paid for your registraion and most of you air fare, today you be lucky to get registration, so unless you go a spare 3 to 4 thousand dollars kicking around must modelers can not afford to compete.

We due have a new Scale Chairman this year, and I know that one of the things on his list to do, is to try and get F4C back going again. Oh, by the way there is also a new class for the 2014 worlds F4H (and it's not heli ) FAI, is also trying to get more interest, so the new class is a standoff scale event, someone what as to what F4C was to be, however all the detail go back into the class.

Drop Peter Conquergood a email, and if you really want to get things going, how about having a F4C or F4H contest. We might also be able to make it a qualifier for Scale Masters.
