PZ Icon A5 winter flying?

Hi Guys...just wondering what I can coat the bottom of the fuselage and outer wing tips with so the hard, crusty, snow doesn't rip this little foamy to shreds this winter.

Hard to think about winter on a nice warm day like this (30 degrees Celsius today) but it will be here before I am ready for it, that is for sure!

Thanks for the help

You can fly Hitec or use the other "low tech" stuff!!

I imagine some water based poly (Minwax Polycrylic) would do a good job sealing the foam and providing some tear resistance.

Question Re: PZ Icon A5 winter flying?

<brain fart>
might be overkill, but I wonder if you could slap a couple 0.5mm x 3mm carbon flats along the centre/keel to help absorb and/or cut the icy snow?

I guess, though it would also alter the look for summer flying, but it would also double as a good defense against water objects and/or belly landing on rough grass.

I use vinyl hockey tape on the bottom of the depron skis.
Tried for my kamikazi pilots licence. Flunked the test.

Re: PZ Icon A5 winter flying?

I found the lightest and easiest is clear packing tape... don't worry though Curt, I already requested no winter this year... hahahah
