Red face Must Be Gettin' Old....

After a season of not really flying a lot, there is something in the air every September that triggers the " builder" instinct to kick in. There are mistakes in EVERY build I do, but like the professional Jazz Piano player I am, I am good at hiding them.
Mistake #1.. Last night I went to glue on fuselage doublers for the horizontal stabilizers. They were nowhere to be found. I thought it odd because Sig kits are usually impeccable in their quality. After searching for about 20 minutes(taking everything out of the kit piece by piece twice) I realized I used them to mix epoxy about two hours before..$%#@*(&!!
Mistake #2.. When gluing in fuse doublers I always mark "NO GLUE" on one side because I don't want to get them mixed up (as there is one for each side of the fuse). Sure enough, mixed some epoxy and promptly smeared it all over my "NO GLUE" handwriting... Didn't clue in until I tried to fit on the right side of the fuse and it would only fit on the left, but I didn't trim it for the left side so out came the rag*&&%^$(%#@!!!
Gonna have a cup of coffee and watch Maury....... John
PS.. Anyone know why the right aileron is half an inch longer than the left on the Sig Astrohog?

Thumbs up Re: Must Be Gettin' Old....

John.... I owe you a drink. That was inspiring to know there are other people just like me in the world. Well, except the jazz musician part - though I did play a little Bari-sax in highschool .
