Over Volting Servo?

So i am currently using 6V servo and have a BEC coming. Is it safe to run them at 7.4V? I used an external battery pack before that was pushing around 6.8V under load (measured with multimeter) and it was doing fine.
My receiver is rated for 7.4V
Performance between the internal 5v and the external 6V pack was significant enough to convince me to get a BEC.

Re: Over Volting Servo?
if anything you can run it off a regulator which you can get off from sayal
you just have to do some very minimal soldering
