Re: DX7 or DX7s ?

Both are very good radios but the 7s is much more updated with a completely different trans. Worth the extra bucks.
Tried for my kamikazi pilots licence. Flunked the test.

The dx7s is basically a dx8 with no backlight, 1 less flight mode and obviously 1 less channel. The sticks can easily be adjusted to suit you
The dx7 is older, made by JR and quite a pain to program.
the DX7 is the "old" model, it doesn't have an SDcard slot so you can't export models and stuff, Some people prefer the DX7 even over the DX8 - I prefer the feel and size of the DX7s/8 size
Apart from that I think the DX7s also supports DSMX where as the DX7 only supports DSM2 if I'm not mistaken Its menu is also easier to navigate than the DX7 and a lot more intuitive to use. It has features such as throttle activated timer meaning no more forgetting to start your time etc.
But if you have the extra cash, go with the DX8
Happy flying
