You would be better off with a diode although unless your servo says only 4.8 volts your servos would be fine with the lifepo4 pack.

Which servo has you concerned????

Check the volts again even with a very small load, you will find it drop down to 6.4 to 6.6 volts. Fine for all servos good for 6 volts which means a 5 cell pack ( fully charged is almost 7 volts).

Futaba Rx can handle 8 volts if not more.

Receivers have no problems with 8 Volts. The servos are what have limits.

As far as the ability to handle current, all Futaba's receivers are the same. Here's the FAQ:

8A continuous, 10A momentary peak.

If you have several servos that will draw high current, then you'll need a power solution.

Cheap regulator: If you put a silicon diode in series with the battery it uses up .7V when the electricity flows through it. A three amp. low voltage diode should work fine. I would get one of those short extension cords and put the diode in it.
