Newfoundland And Labrador Steering servo trouble

I'm having trouble here with the steering servo on my savage x. Switched out the original servo that the previous owner had in the truck for a hi tech metal gear unit. Once the linkage is attached servo will not operate. However once linkage is disconnected servo works fine. Tried with wheels off the ground already and no difference. Totally stumped here as I don't see anything binding or bent in the linkage. What do you guys suggest?

Re: Steering servo trouble

try the servo saver..
i know it sounds stupid but some people have it set too loose and it makes it so that you get basically no steering..
if the servo itself doesnt move at all underload i would recommend taking it back to where you purchased it from and exchanging it...
tbh you dont need anything really special, just look for something with a fair bit of torque..
i have a powerhd 1501mg servo in my savage 4.6 and its been working great for me..
all in all i only spent like 15-20 bucks on it.
