Well I'm sorry our part of the show didnt live up to your expectations but there are two things you have to take into consideration.
1. This was all OUR money we laid out for it so we were limited as to what we could do.
2. We didnt have a whole ton of notice to put things together. Yes, we knew about it for a few months but didnt get the exact details till the last second and our space ended up being bigger than we anticipated.
Rome wasnt built in a day and there is still alot of work to be done for our demonstration for future shows. As far as the shops going to the show goes, your "5 Dollar in my pocket attitude" is the reason they dont go, cause they dont do enough business to make it worth it. We have gone over this with the owners of more than a few hobby shops and most feel it isnt worth the effort. There are exceptions as we see with Hobby Hobby and Hobby Wholesale who do quite well but they are the exception and not the rule. What this show needs isnt hobby shops, what this show needs is more manufacturers making the trip north, THAT would make this show great not being able to get a deal on parts. We have begun to lobby some of the bigger companies and even if just one of them comes out we will be ahead of the game.
Gramps, attitudes like yours is what is killing that show. We're trying to do something about it with this website and the events we run. If we had more people stand up and do something and less people spending too much time in front of their computers whinning about it and criticizing things may be different.
Arm chair quarterbacks are a SERIOUS pet peave of mine so if your not gonna contribute to make things better and your not gonna make constructive suggestions to help us dont make any comment at all!
'nuff said......no really
