Welcome to the Rags section, I ask you all to bare with me while I turn this idea into reality. My aim is two fold and I want to help as many as I can to sort through the many publications in the R/C industry. Why? In an effort to make you aware of what is what. I want you to see what is being published so that you can make wise purchases. This room will be where you want to go before buying a magazine. You can see what each one offers as soon as we get it.
I don’t intend, obviously, to be able to get every magazine. I’ll try to cover as many as is possible. At this time we only have access to those that are regularly distributed in Canada. I will publish a list of that when this gets underway.
The role of this room is not to copy or plagiarize the magazines. I intend to report on what is being reviewed, discussed or is making news as reported by the magazines. If any magazine is referenced I ask that members note the magazine and page number (so members can keep up with what we are talking about)
I encourage our members to read and openly debate what is being said.
I ask that members refrain from scanning, copying or otherwise distributing direct copies of the magazines, it is not our intent to create a copyright war with the publishing companies. I would like members to use internet publications for pictures etc (I have yet to find something that is solely publicized in the magazines only). The only exception to this rule will be question and answers as reported by the magazine, or specific advice issues where debate is warranted. In such cases a quote will be required.
Obviously this is a work in progress so until we streamline the specifics there will be some trial and error. I’ll have to edit any articles that violate our standing order on a case by case basis.
To keep the information as current as possible I would like members when creating a thread to reference the Magazine, Issue (month is fine) and topic (if required).
Only current magazine issues will remain in the thread others will be transferred to our archives as new issues come out.
