Are there standards that have to be met to build an off-road track?Things like track width and length. I'm thinking of going out to the local motocross track for some fun today.(I haven't broken anything yet)

10 or more feet wide...
big air.
bigger air..
tripple big air..
and a flat out straightaway...

I know that there are standards for the various IFMAR and ROAR sanctioned events and tracks.. but I have no idea what they are...

Maybe Losigramps can throwdown some info on that.. I'm not even sure what the web sites are.. a simple search would pobably do it..

Hope that helped...

Most of the rules are related to the cars, there so much you have to do for the track other than having the proper width and what to use for the borders...

I know ROAR has a web site and you can find all the rules at

As per IFMAR, I found this, which seems old (1999)
