Wow you really cant lose with the January editions RC Car action/RC Driver or Xtreme RC.

January 2005

I went to Chapters and previewed all these mags.

Their big article (as with a number of the big mags) is the
Top New or Hot items for 2005. Its about 100 of the biggest, best or newest in r/c. The information is good, (lots of pics of products) along with a link to web sites and street pricing list.

A review of the XTM Racing XLB 1/8th scale buggy

Oddly enough these are 1/7 scale...
I will have to read this article. My understanding is that XTM is made by global hobby..yet there is nothing on their web site.

However their distributor has them in stock.
499 usd street price. They are equipped with the SH.28 so this will be an interesting read..perhaps it will help me to understand their marketing and distribution system 8O

RC Car action shows you how to blow $400 and what you can get for it. It covers 8 kits you can get for this type of bling (USD).

And a head to head review of the Revo vs Tmaxx 2.5 (like there is a contest here) but each does have its pro's and con's. A worthwhile read.

A section that i personally like is the readers rides section, and in this issue they cover the riders rides of the year. You've got to see the rides on display. Oh boy.

Coverage of the 2004 ROAR fuel Sedan Nationals which was held in Sept 2004. Lots of great pictures and information, but if you just want the results here they are

You can read this article or at least a variation of it at

Plus an assortment of their regular columns including a race ready tamiya tnx...

If you have to select only one it will be a tough decision.
The big pull for mags in the Month of January is a hot products/new products catalog...enjoy.
