I had my nexus out a couple days ago. it has a different motor for a heli. most are ringed motors. this thunder tiger is an abc motor. it has incredible compression.
I had just changed the pipe and my needle settings were way off. after some fiddling I had some flow. but my high end was way to lean. it was funny. it was good and rich to take off. just over half stick and was hovering. then I blip it about 1/4 inch up and it shoots up the headspead like mad and the heli rockets up. better climb out than any heli I have ever flown, actually scared the crap out of me lol. I go back just below half to bring it down and because of the motor revs etc it drops so fast. was a handful getting it down. I ended up richening the top end about 1.5 turns and it's still too lean. I had to stop as my wire drive tail set screw came loose and I lost my tail.
I have a heli combined of nexus and concept parts so the hole for the setscrew didn't line up to tighten wiithout taking the tail apart. it's all fixed now. one more trip to final tune and it goes back in the augusta fuselage.

payday tomorrow too so I have to decide.... hmmm lipos for t rex? gyro and servo for evo.... I will order a new set of motors for the sky robo anyway.... oh man my mind is doin' piros woohoo, the only 3d I can do haha

here's some pics to show what the heli has gone through since getting it. I got the fuselage first and found what I needed to fit that after. it was a box of parts I started with and changed some things to work. my first scale project...
I will post some pics later. have to upload to my server.... oh wait, you can see them in my gallery at runryder..

well though I put a ton of effort into this thing, it is now on it's way to Louisville, Kentucky. A buddy has a ton of the Nexus and Concepts and I am selling it to him.

I will have to get some scale fuses for my T rex's. I am done fighting with old equipment and finding parts. he has 6 or 7 of the nex and another 4 or 5 concepts
