There is a lot of informal racing for buggies . There is also some good
"real" racing going on , ie. belleville track ,Sprucewood race etc.
There are some good rtr buggies out that can be competitive, however a
kit is the better way to go in my opinion . Some rtr come with fm radios
and high torque servos. You must consider parts availability before you
get one.

Anything OFNA is a good bet in the "bang for buck" category...I think you should make sure parts are available in your area or at least have a reliable dealer that can send small amounts of parts to you by post. There are other buggies like Sportworks MAYHEM or the GS STORM -both are really nice and have great parts support from the source but not many shops stock them. If you're not too serious...set out a budget and stick to it...find a buggy that suits your wallet...and the other 9 tenth's will be your driving skill!!
To finish first....first ya gotta finish!
