water rc

hey guys i dont know to much about rc stuff for the water, but i was really interested in those speed boats. if i wanted something decent to have fun with, that has some balls 30+ MPH, what am i looking at, how much will cost?? is there alot of maintenance, just wondering if anyone new anything about them.

hey wheelie...I'm 70% into boats and don't bother buying any of the traxxas stuff although you could but i never did....go to www.finedesignrc.com and talk to them...those guys are amazing....you will get a very nice boat from them and if u want, already set up...or visit www.climatemodels.com but my advice to you is talk to both of them to see who is the better deal...climate is in Barrie by the way..you can take a traxxas villain but it will take you a while to make it go 30mph

not to forget a LOT of modifications and $$$

boats cen be expensive but when compared to cars no where near if ur just screwin' around.... best bet is to find a good hull and run a good set of batts and a good motor.... with 1700Mi-mH batters and a kyosho stock motor i was getting 20mph in my crackerbox and about 22 in my v-hull...... another good place to check for hulls is dumas...http://www.dumasproducts.com/... as well as http://rumrunnerracing.com/............om/index1.html
