I'm very seriously looking at the new HPI Baja B5. As soon as one gets in my hands, I'll definately be down for some good running.

Speaking of large scale stuff, i was wondering if anyone out there has ever heard of someone traking something large, like an ATV, and tearing it down and making a custom frame, stretching and widening it to proper buggy proportions and putting it all back together r/c style?
I've been thinking about this more and more but i can't find any information on the net. I think a large scale buggy made from an atv power plant and drive train with custom suspension and framework would be the absolute ultimate in high-powered off road R/C. In fact, I would love to build one someday, and if i ever can, i probably will.

Anyone ever hear of this before?

just a little question, have any of you guys tried locking your diffs? i was thinking of making a 1/6 scale buggy or whatever and its a really big hassle to have a diff, i was thinking of just having a solid axle whithout any diff. i just want to know how much worse the handeling will be. i had a rear diff kinda locked on my tmaxx and it helped with handeling.

FG makes an adjustable rear diff that I suppose you could lock but I've never tried. Most people run a fairly thick diff lube in the stock one. I did this to selwa's Beetle when it was mine but i know he's replaced it since. Any thoughts Joe?
Any landing you can drive away from, is a good landing

I used 150,000 diff lock oil. Works great!! Doesn't separate inside like grease will. You might be able to squeeze some in through the drive shaft since the just pull out. (Don't worry the gears won't move on you inside) I won't do anything unless you have to take it apart.
