I have a CVEC pipe on my truck and it's just awesome. But tuning it requires a lot of patience. And I mean A LOT. You first start off by moving the tuning pin to the hole closest to the pipe's piston. This will make the spring tension tighter. Then re-install into your truck and run it for about one tank. Then take the pipe apart and move to pin to the farthest hole. This will loosen the spring tension. Then re-install and try it. You should notice some difference in low end and high end RPM and Torque. The tightest spring tension should give you more lower end torque while the looser spring tension should give you higher end RPM. Then you keep tuning the pipe by experimenting with the pin positions until you get an even balance of RPM and torque. It does take a while, but in the end if you do it right, it'll pay off.

BTW, it's also not too good to improperly set to the pipe. Cuz an improperly set pipe will cause the engine to heat up too much.
