Sprucewood signatures would only be acceptable if the people signing the petition ARE residents of Richmond Hill. Signatures from persons outside that region would not apply as it is the City of Richmond Hill that is being approached. The City of Richmond Hill could care less about a petition with 100 signatures but only 10 of them are in the Richmond Hill region.

Like I said earlier, nothing hurts, I think it is great that somone is taking the initiative, kid or not, to try and get a public track

At the track I run on in Englewood Florida, the track is public and located behind one of the local firehalls. There is always a hose with water to wet the track down, and the drivers stand is PRO grade. This track is also right beside a nature trail and big forest. The thing is though is that people respect this location and clean up after themselves, unlike some of the pigs I have met while running RC around the GTA. This track is the scene of many fun Sat and Sundays with age ranges from 5-65, and killer R/C trailers.

Prior to your meeting with this councillor, go scout possible existing locations to present to her. Check with local authorities ex.Fire Station. Police to find out there suggestions on location. Finally obtain a copy of noise by-laws, as they change from zone to zone. Preparation is the Key, and knowledge is power. Good Luck.

Grandmaster G, all great points and ones that NEED to be thought about before presenting. Build your case and prove that this would be beneficial and then town council will consider it. If there is something in it for the Town of Richmond Hill, it makes it more attractive for them to listen to.
