Mammoth help please!

Just picked up an ST today and I actually was reading the instructions when it said, Factory needle setting on the HSN was 3 turns out, Then the next page says 3 1/4 turns out....Which is it? I checked the truck and it was 4 1/4 turns out out of the box.
I am also confused about one other thing....The break-in procedure appears a little vague. It says to run the truck 2-3 minutes, let it cool for 10 then lean the HSN 1/8 of a turn and repeat for 45 minutes...The way I figure when I am done with the 45 minutes the HSN will be about 2 - 2 1/4 turns out. Does that sound correct to you guys?

Thanks everyone I appreciate the help.
