Hey Infamouse I actually did a marine mechanic apprentiship it's a 5 year program, but i do work on atv's and bikes when the boats are slow in the summer, and in the winter I work on skidoo's. You should look into it, it's a great program and it's free. As for your question Ven it's too much of a pain in the ass to put lights on a dirt bike and it's expensive, your better off getting a small duel sport bike, they come with lights installed, and i'm sure pretty sure that 50cc and 80cc bike are not approved for road use even with lights, they are just to small of displacement. And for a scooter you do still need your M licence to ride one, but for next year they are comming out with a scooter licence i guess it's an easier licence to get, but you can't ride a bike with it so you are better off just getting your M licence.

I have had a couple of CR125 dirt bikes, a Yamaha 250 and a Quadzilla 250 and All of these were tons of fun. Just remember VEN with dirt bikes or 4 wheelers its pritty much go out have fun come home and fix. Its not so much the money, its the time it takes to get your bike/4 wheeler back and running. A 50ccor 80cc bike will be fun at first, but I think after a few rides you will want more power. If you really want a dirt bike, I would save up for like a 125 and there not cheap. You seem like a fellow how is probably under 16 years old. You have lots of time to get into other toys/hobbies. I eventually got a 750 street bike and then had had to got. I now have an Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio Convertible. Thats my real toy. Stick with the RC stuff for now.
