No need to thin it out at all. Works perfectly and that's even through a .3mm needle on a Iwata Eclipse.

I jsut found out on a body that you for sure do not want to spray Pactra Cans over Createx/Faskolor paints... it will eat though the paint especially if you don't give it a few hours to fully dry and cure.

I use a heat gun to speed up the time between coats. The heat also helps cure the paint and helps it bond to the body.

Thanks Jeff!! We ended up using some premixed Pactra paints with Tamiya for the main colour. Love the gun metal!! Turned out pretty sweet!!! I'll post some pics once I cut the body but it will take a while since it's very thick!!! The body was $200 from the UK!!! OUch!!! Maybe I'll post some pics before I start cutting it for the Marder.

Wish I could be a the Hobby show to show it off on the Marder!!

If you want to use both Pactra and any of the water based paints, spray the pactra first. It's a hoter paint and will dissolve any of the arcrylics. Also, the Tamiya PC paints in bottles (if you can find them) are also hotter than the Fastcolor paints. Not sure about the Createx ones though.

You can however, spray the Alclad either before or after the Fastcolor. I usually do it first so that the Fastcolor add an additional layer of protection from scratches.
