Im new to RC cars and im looking for a solid beginners car. I've seen the HI Speed Bazooka 1:8 with the .21 engine. Is there a difference between this car and the bazookas brother car the Kyosho MP 7.5? Would you recommed this car for a beginner and if theres a difference hetween the 2 which one is best. I have also been looking at a Vanguard Sport 1:8 Buggy with a .27CXP engine. Would this be a better car to go with overall as the engine is a far bigger size? Also how fast can these 1:8 buggys really go this last one i mentioned quoted it can do 85 mph off road?

I doubt that, maybe 85mph in a freefall off a cliff.....

VEN is right, go with something that is popular and parts are easily found, If you want something cheap i believe OFNA buggies are good, XRAY has the XB8R for a bit more, Sportwerks has the Mayhem for fairly cheap... there's a lot more...

Also, just because the engine is a .27 doesn't mean it's better, a good .21 would smoke it easily.

Parts Parts PARTS...make sure you can get (LOCAL if possable) parts and tech support. There are so many good buggies on the market with excellent parts support that it simply does not make sense to own a rig that "you got for cheap" when it isn't worth the powder to blow it up if you can't fix it! I am lucky enough to live near Toronto so finding a shop isn't a prob...and I consistantly find deals that beat whatever "some guy" has for sale on E-Bay.Like you're doing now, ask questions but nothing beats holding it in your hand before layin' yer money down.
To finish first....first ya gotta finish!
