$1000 is close for my Harm 1/5 but my Fg 1/6 it closer to $4000 mark!!! Just don't tell the wife that!!! LOL

The thing I don't like about the Spektrum failsafe is that it takes 2 seconds for it to activate. Too slow in my terms. I almost launched my truck into a curb because of that failsafe delay.

I had the same twichyness in my DX3 system untill one day I found my antena was not attached in the reciever. That was repaired and I haven't had any abnormal problems since.

I had the same problem with the spektrum in my M8, and Spektrum told me to send it in, and they would take a look, they did a firmware update and some other software update, and now I can turn it on and nothing glitches at all.
You can drive a fast truck slow, but you can't drive a slow truck fast!
