HEHEHE... I hear ya Chewy..

Biggest thing to do Bigdady is to just go ahead and do it.
There will be people that will show up, don't worry about that.

There will be way more people say they will show, and not show.. don't let that discourage you.

Just be aware.. that more than half the people that end up posting in responce to your thread will not ever show up... if there is one ting I have learned in my year with this community, don't rely on them. There are more people out there that will show up and bring their freinds than you will be able to handle, as long as you do it right..

I would consider an RC "PARK" (similar to a skate park) and a race track, as mentioned above, it will help keep the bashers from buggin the racers
SUPERD's PAST PITMAN just ask SuperD
Sprucewood - First B-main, 9th A-main
Bellvegas - 4th A-MAIN Truggy
TTR S3 - Rossi M21 (on side lines all summer)
TTR ST-1 with LSK OMG..

Also keep in mind you may want to make a big enough track for 1/6,1/5. With the Baja 5B coming out I'm sure you will have people with those too. Like I posted before a few gas buggies with spikes can tear up a track the same as a race weekend with 1/8 buggies. The jumps wouldn't need to be as big too.

After you get approval just PM me and I'll help out since I'm just in Milton.

Our family has 10-24 acres of land just past Orangville. Too bad it wasn't closer!!

Build it and people will come.

As for Tracks IMO.
1 Off Road
1 On Road
1 Drag Lane
All 3 tracks should be big enough to accommodate 1/8 and 1/5 scales models.

Important issues you need to consider but probably already know:
Noise = Dampening needs = Trees or hopefully it is close to a busy roadway or hi-way.
Dust = Irrigation needs = Sprinkler system or get busy to collect old cooking oil from fast food chains to treat your off road track.
Maintenance = Management = Money donation, day charge, membership. barter track time, hobby shop sponsorship

How to sell it to the city:
If people has to come to your city or town it will generate monies in different ways
1. People have to eat therefore local eateries benefit
2. Cars need gassing up, I shouldn't have to explain this point by point from here on
3. If you decide to do this as a business then you make money and therefore have to pay taxes on it government loves that
4. Although it is primarily dominated by male adult hobbyist, it builds comradery between family members (Father & Kids and on some occassions wives and girlfriends) and aquaintances drawing the community to safe area of play away from drugs or crime, local PD, MP, Mayor, loves that
5.ETC ETC ETC before I get carried away and get told off to stop posting.
I am on the 13th year of my 2nd childhood and I REFUSE TO GROW-UP!

I'll restate what was stated above.

build it and they will come. thats no joke. there will be MORE than enough people show up to use it
don't talk about it in open discussion on public forums untill the dirt is being layed down and the bulldozers are dozing it.... there is a VERY bad history of hype and flops that has left the community with a bad taste in its mouth.
If you can get this done, then cudo's. Just make damned sure that the noise factor from nitro won't be an issue with the neighbour. These suckers are LOUD!
