i agree with droid....plus, the expert class would only have a maximum of 10 people in it that are considered sponsored.

I think that alot of guys would run both MT and Truggy class at the same race .I think that they should be separate races if the numbers are there.Plus newer mt drivers may shy away from racing with truggys. 00.2

I say keep the 1/8th scale as it is...the faster guys will tend to qualify higher up and in the end everybody will be racing with their skill level in the mains... Run the M/T's and truggy's together until 07 then split them up if the numbers are there to do so...Lets make this easier rather than complicating things...

As far as I'm concerned I tend to agree with spitting the 1/8 scale into two classes and pro and expert is a good idea. The only question is what criteria would there be for someone to run one class over the other? Sponsored or non sponsored maybe?

Quals 4-5 min...absolutely, quick and dirty!
I'm absolutely opposed to the idea of a 4 minute qualifier...they do 4 minute races at SPARC in the Windsor area and the races are over almost as soon as they start

if you make one minor bobble you've lost your run.....it's really not enough time...

10 minutes seems to stretch the day though...Action and some of the other tracks ran 7 minute qualifiers..this was a nice number as it gave you an oportunity to make up for a minor bobble, and also tested your pit strategy....(do you do a splash and go? or do you try to go the full time)...

more time is lost in between heats than actually on the track.

When races are set up and organized to where the next race is being called as the curent race is finishing, and marshalls go promptly to their positions the days go smoothly and there isn't much of an issue...

Thumbs down 4 minutes booooooooo

no 4 minute runs...that would be a killer.....one thing i can tell you from experiance sparc (one of my local tracks) runs 4 minute quallys like chris said and it dont really even let you engine heat up...and it seems like you just got on the stand and youre walking off again....ill take whatever comes my way but if i had a choice id say noooooooooooooo!....like i said ill run whatever im easy

truggys and monsters run together and run seperate points...

as far as a class for expert and novice for 8th scale why dont we allow around 40 guys from the top half run expert and those who finish qualifying below 40 run them in novice?? there wont be many left after 40 at most races but it gives the novice something to shoot for??

I like the idea of keeping the MTs together... but just give a First Second Third trophy to the top 3 Mts and top 3 truggies... having faster trucks in the race only makes other people better...

Thumbs up sunday qually

i know its like having your cake and eating it but......we need to try and have a quallifier on sunday..even work out something for the guys who just cant come till sunday....let them run a qualifier even if its just one at the start of the day for the guy who couldnt make it till then?? but in the same breath no 4 minute quallifiers!

abbye youre right but some feel a little intimidated...those people who are and are reading this.....dont worry about being a road block or accidently hitting another guy if the racer is good enough he should be able to avoid when you cant thats just the way it is....if you hit me you dont even got to say sorry! i really dont care because i put myself in that position just like if i crash im not mad at the marshal...its my dumbass on the wheel!.......whatever is decided and agreed upon is ok with me... but if it stays the same...come on guys join the fun thats the name of the game! see you on the track soon! Rick

i like that soon part!!

Rick and Chris I agree. 7minutes is a great number for qualifying. It's used at a lot of races. Monster truck should race together but maybe give them different classes. Splitting 1/8 only if you have the numbers to validate it. I wouldn't though. I agree with Rick about this. If I crash it's my fault. If you hit me. What can I do. Just continue to race and have fun.
