after installing my 3.3 two weeks ago i have broken 3 transmissions,1 driveshaft,4 spur gears, anialated 2 bodies and one optidrive sensor all due to the power difference.all problems i never had with the 2.5.so ive tried all different kinds of tuning and gearing arrangements and finally i got it right.heres some free suggestions at my expense.
.trx36t sprur part #3953
.trx stock clutch bell gears
.trx 2 spd wide ratio gears parts #5384
.sportwerks clutch assy
.trx progrssive 2 rockers front/stock rear.
.trx widetrack rear control arms and rpm fronts/rpm knucles/bumpers.
.trx pushrods and tie rods.
.extra shim on f/r shaft in tranny and input shaft
.3racing aluminum guards
.proline dish rims w/ bowties
.venom single chamber pipe
.titanium screws for all engine mounting.
it has reduced low end torque with the gearing set up that way and gives you perfect amount of power on take off but it screams in high rpm.i drive it as hard as i can and nothing has broken other than the body.but the biggest improvement if installing a 3.3 is better engine mount support or you will constantly be adjusting the spur clearance and breaking gears.
