Need a Savage Engine

I need a new engine for my savage. and YES i LOVE nitro, i took it on and i fricken LOVE IT. something happend to mine and it lost all it's compression and wont run proper now so i thought i would get a new one.

So i am wondeirng what a good savage engine would be, like right now i have a .21 and happy with the speed and power so no bigger than a .26 i don't think...

it needs to be good fro a beginer, easy to tune, keeps a tune good, and runs strong and easy. I have been suggested the xtm 24.7 is an awesome enigne...

LMK what you think i should get.

the k4.6 is a solid engine holds a tune really well and has a fair amount of power

the new axial motor is sposed to be good, and you cant beet the price, it is more of a basher motor the a racer did a really good write up about it

the mach 25 or 26 or 28 are all good motor as well, and the price is good aswell

the HPI K46 has got lots of power, easy tuneable, but the only downfall is they go through gaskets on the carb
You can drive a fast truck slow, but you can't drive a slow truck fast!

I've got three + gallons through my mach 26 and have never had a problem. Lots of power and keeps a tune. Haven't had to adjust in quite a while.

I would go with a STS .28. Get it from It is a very powerfull engine, much more than the K4.6 and is reliable. The K4.6 that me and my neighbour had blew the rear bearing in under 2 gallons.

Price for the STS = $135.00 us
