metal shavings in the gearbox???

So i opened up my gearbox on the Savage X and noticed a bunch of metal (aluminum) shavings in there... All the gears seem fine and not even worn down...

This does not seem normal to me but it is a new truck (well had about ten or so tanks through it) and i'm new to this. Should i be conserned about this or is this normal? Likewise i didn't see much lubrication in there... ie grease or anything... Everything still works fine but i dunno
